At Lotus DMC, we have spent many years perfecting the art of event management. Over time, we’ve orchestrated countless memorable experiences, always striving for excellence. However, with experience comes insight, and we have become increasingly aware of the environmental impact of our industry. This realization led us to create an initiative called REPS (Reduce, Efficiently, Preserve, Sustain), designed to minimize waste and promote sustainability in event management.

In the fast-paced world of event sustainability, efficiency and impact often take center stage. Yet, this focus can lead to substantial waste, from uneaten food to discarded materials. At Lotus DMC, we believe that with careful planning and innovative thinking, we can significantly reduce event waste.

The decision to create REPS was driven by our commitment to sustainable event planning and fostering a culture of eco-friendly event practices within the events industry.

The REPS program is a multifaceted approach to waste reduction and sustainability. Here’s how it operates:

Through REPS, we have found creative ways to repurpose event banners. Instead of discarding banners and prints after an event, we repurpose them into new products. Old banners are transformed into tote bags, tablecloths, and other useful items.

Since the implementation of REPS, we have seen significant positive outcomes. The reduction in waste has not only lessened our environmental impact but also decreased event costs. Additionally, our food collection initiative has provided much-needed support to local communities, reinforcing the social value of our sustainability efforts.

At Lotus DMC, our commitment to sustainable events is unwavering. The REPS program is a testament to our dedication to reducing waste and promoting eco-friendly practices in event management. We encourage others in the industry to join us in this endeavor, as together, we can create events that are not only memorable but also mindful of our planet.
